About Leigh Hooson

With a background in art and design and a career as a commercial artist Leigh’s passion for detail and perfection has been a strong platform in which to build and develop his skills as a luthier.

Over the last decade his interest in the acoustic guitar has led him to immerse himself in this field, studying and learning the finer points of this fascinating art.

His drive and passion over the years would inevitably lead him to the building of his own instruments. Constantly striving to reproduce the nuances of that “Pre-war” personality, through his research and development as a luthier, his instruments are now beginning to turn heads in the Bluegrass community..
