It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share with you the sad news of the passing of a dear friend and fellow musician, Mr. Alan Pearce.Alan passed away in Coalville hospital on the morning of Thursday 17th March.Our thoughts are with his wife Brenda, son John and indeed all of the family at this very difficult time.Alan was a regular at all of the UK Bluegrass festivals and over the years, we have all had the pleasure of sharing the stage with him, as he played some of the most authentic ‘Scruggs style’ Banjo picking to be found on these shores! Alan was a real character and will be sadly missed by all, not only on the Bluegrass scene, but by anyone who made his acquaintance along the way!RIP Alan. 2nd February1945 - 17th March 2022. We now have funeral details. Alan’s funeral will be held at St John the Baptist Church, North Street, Whitwick LE67 5HA Tuesday 12th April, at 13.30.
